Who We Are

Chelsea Green Children’s Centre is a non-profit childcare centre, licensed by the Ministry of Education and a participant in the Canada Wide Early Learning and Childcare System (CWELCC).We are a charitable organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Our Board is comprised of volunteers from the community with expertise in a wide variety of areas, such as finance, human resources, and early learning and childcare. Chelsea Green Children’s centre provides quality childcare to children 0-5 years old in our spacious, bright and child centered environment.

Chelsea Green Children’s Centre began in 1986 as London Adult Learners’ Children’s Centre inside the current G.A. Wheable Adult Education Centre. As parent’s needs have changed over the years, Chelsea Green Children’s Centre has grown and evolved and now welcomes all families from the London community who require quality child care to our centre on Thompson Rd.

Chelsea Green Children’s Centre is committed to ensuring equal access and participation for people with disabilities. We are committed to treating people with disabilities in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence. We believe in integration and we are committed to meeting the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner. We will do so by removing and preventing barriers to accessibility and meeting our accessibility requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and Ontario’s accessibility laws.

Chelsea Green Children’s Centre is committed to meeting its current and ongoing obligations under the Ontario Human Rights Code respecting non-discrimination.

Chelsea Green Children’s Centre understands that obligations under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act,2005 (AODA) and its accessibility standards do not substitute or limit its obligations under the Ontario Human Rights Code or obligations to people with disabilities under any other law.

Chelsea Green Children’s Centre is committed to excellence in providing services, goods or facilities to all customers including people with disabilities.

Our accessible customer service policies are consistent with the principles of independence, dignity, integration and equality of opportunity for people with disabilities.

Chelsea Green Children’s Centre will provide documents related to accessible customer service and accessibility policies upon request to the Executive Director by email at tamara@chelseagreen.ca,by phone 519-433-4225,by verbal request in person at 250 Thompson Rd London N5Z 2Z2 or in writing.

We will provide these documents in an accessible format or with communication support on request. We will consult with the person making the request to determine the suitability of the format or communication support. We will provide the accessible format in a timely manner and at no additional cost.

A copy of the latest filed Accessibility Compliance Report is posted on the information board in our entryway and can be requested by contacting tamara@chelseagreen.ca.

Chelsea Green Children’s Centre is committed to providing quality service that is accessible to everyone. We value all feedback regarding the way services are provided. When asked we will provide information about our organization and its services, in accessible formats or with communication supports a) in a timely manner taking into account the person’s accessibility needs due to disability and b) at a cost that is no more that the regular cost charged to other persons.
